Adrien Rabiot to the Premier League could be off with the reported Liverpool target set to sign a new contract with Ligue 1 champions PSG.
For a time there looked to be a very good chance that Adrien Rabiot would be joining Liverpool in 2019.
The gifted midfielder has blossomed into one of the most promising footballers in Europe during his time with Paris Saint-Germain and it is well documented that his contract expires at the end of this season. The vultures, then, were circling.
According to ESPN, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is a long-time admirer of Rabiot, having failed to sign him during his time at Borussia Dortmund. And the report adds that Klopp had contacted the 23-year-old over the phone in September to convince him of a move to Anfield.
Though latest reports from the continent suggest that Liverpool could be about to suffer disappointment in the chase for one of the most inspired free-agent signings in years.
But according to Canal Plus (22 October), Rabiot has now performed a dramatic U-turn and is set to sign a three-year deal with PSG. So who do Liverpool fans want instead with Rabiot potentially off the market?
