Scottish Premiership champions Rangers tried and failed to lure Jack Simpson to Ibrox from Premier League outfit Bournemouth.

Back in September, Jack Simpson spoke of his pride after being linked with a move to Rangers.
“It was nice and I didn’t really expect it if I’m honest,” the Bournemouth defender told the Daily Echo.
In the end, a move to Ibrox failed to transpire with the Cherries turning down an offer from Steven Gerrard’s side (Daily Star). But that does not mean Rangers should have given up.
Heading into the summer, a centre-back is likely to be high on Rangers’ list of priorities. Loanee Joe Worrall is expected to return to Nottingham Forest while veteran Gareth McAuley is out of contract and out of favour.
After another season stuck on the bench or in the sidelines, Simpson should be chomping at the bit for regular first-team football. The 21-year-old has made just one Premier League appearance all season and a role in Bournemouth’s starting XI appears to be no closer, despite the ongoing defensive issues plaguing Eddie Howe’s side.

Bournemouth would only benefit too by letting Simpson move to Ibrox on loan as the youngster will gain experience and potentially raise his market value north of the border.
This one works out well for everyone.
