Leander Dendoncker looks likely to follow Youri Tielemans out of Anderlecht with Everton a potential destination.
Everton have comfortably spent more money on transfers than at any other time in their long history this summer. However, it does not appear that Farhad Moshiri’s cheque book is closed for business just yet.
Manager Ronald Koeman confirmed that The Toffees are still on the lookout for a lethal centre-forward to replace Romelu Lukaku while a new centre-back is also a priority after Ramiro Funes Mori was ruled out indefinitely.
And though Everton now boast one of the most well-stocked midfields in the Premier League, the prospect of The Toffees adding another to their ranks cannot be discounted before Thursday’s transfer deadline.
Because Anderlecht president Roger Vanden Stock has confirmed that the Belgian giants will sell highly-rated midfielder Leander Dendoncker if they receive a suitable offer in the remaining days of August.
“I’ve only opposed myself to a transfer once. That was Aruna Dindane, and that didn’t end well. So, if a club really wants Leander and that it’s financially good for us, he’ll leave”, Vanden Stock told DH, admitting that an offer of around £18 million would be required to sign Dendoncker this summer.

This may be music to the ears of Everton, who The Sun claimed had a bid of £15 million rejected in June. A powerful and dynamic midfielder, Dendoncker stands at over 6ft but possesses a graceful touch and the ability to drive forward from deep.
The one-time Belgian international has also proved himself against English opposition, netting a bullet header past Manchester United in last season’s Europa League quarter-finals.
However, Dendoncker would have a challenge forcing his way into Everton’s starting XI with Idrissa Gana Gueye, Morgan Schneiderlin and Tom Davies joined on Merseyside by Gylfi Sigurdsson and Davy Klaassen this summer.
