West Ham United have been linked with William Carvalho of Sporting Lisbon and Sunderland’s Didier Ibrahim Ndong in the summer transfer window.

According to The Guardian, West Ham thought that their offer of £32.5 million would be enough, but Sporting want £5m more for the 25-year-old defensive midfielder.
Bilic, though, is confident that the deal will go through, but the West Ham manager has admitted that if it does not, then the London club will not make a move for another defensive midfielder.

“It’s hard to be objective,” Bilic told The Guardian regarding the signing of Carvalho. “But I am quite confident.”
“It’s too late for anything else, so no,” added Bilic when asked if West Ham could sign anyone else if Carvalho does not arrive. “That’s it. But I hope we are going to get him.”

According to The Guardian, West Ham are interested in signing Didier Ibrahim Ndong from Sunderland in the summer transfer window.
The Sunderland Echo has also claimed of the Hammers’ interest in the 23-year-old midfielder, but the report has stated that there have been no bids yet.
Bilic’s comments seem to suggest that West Ham will not make a move for Ndong if the London club fails to sign Carvalho.
That can only be good news for the Black Cats, who need all of their best players in the team in order to finish in the top two of the Championship this season.
