Former Tottenham and QPR defender Steven Caulker has been linked with a shock move to Marcelo Bielsa’s Championship hopefuls Leeds United.

Marcelo Bielsa might have been in charge of Leeds United for just one competitive game but the improvements are already clear to see.
In the 3-1 win against pre-season title favourites Stoke City on Sunday, the likes of Liam Cooper, Gaetano Berardi, Mateusz Klich and Kalvin Phillips looked like men transformed. Perhaps this is the impact you’d expect from a head coach who is being paid more than any other tactician in Leeds’ history.
And with Bielsa in the dugout, or sat on his water cooler, Leeds fans seem very confident that Steven Caulker could get back to his very best at Elland Road.

According to The Mirror (live blog, 8.48am), both Leeds and Rangers are preparing £1.5 million bids for the former England international centre-back, who is getting his career back on track at Dundee after a tough time off the field.
Caulker is still only 26 and spells at Tottenham Hotspur and Swansea City showed that he does have Premier League potential. Heck, Jurgen Klopp even signed him as recently as 2016.
Just imagine how good Caulker could be if Bielsa can help him rediscover the form that once saw him tipped to be a regular at the heart of England’s defence.
