Jamie O’Hara has accused Hugo Lloris of costing Tottenham Hotspur the Marcus Edwards goal they conceded tonight.
Edwards, who began his professional career at Spurs, came back to haunt the Lilywhites by opening the scoring for Sporting Lisbon in this evening’s Champions League encounter.
The English attacker, who impressed against Tottenham in the reverse fixture in Portugal, drilled home the opener from well outside the box.
And an angry O’Hara believes that Lloris, a £12 million signing 10 years ago [Goal], could and probably should’ve done better.
He tweeted:

Is Lloris to blame for the Marcus Edwards goal?
Honestly, probably not.
Lord knows that Lloris deserved a lot of criticism for his performance in the 2-1 defeat by Newcastle United this past weekend, arguably costing Antonio Conte’s side both goals.
But on this occasion, you could blame a handful of Tottenham players – including Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg – more than the France international.
Really though, it was just a perfectly-placed rifled drive from the Hotspur Way academy graduate and one that Lloris couldn’t do much about, to be honest.
It’s been another dreadful home performance by Spurs, whose defeat by the Magpies on Sunday was also in North London.
Son Heung-min and Harry Kane haven’t really got going as of yet and there’s no doubt that Sporting have been by far the better of both sides during a relatively one-sided first half.
