Rangers fans’ dream summer signing might already be plying his trade at Ibrox.

The Gers produced one of their finest performances of the season on Wednesday night, while improving their questionable away record at the same time, beating Aberdeen 4-2 at Pittodrie.

With two goals and a red card, his third against the Dons this season alone, Alfredo Morelos has inevitably dominated the post-match discussion. But that didn’t stop Rangers fans from raving about one man in particular after the game – Aberdeen’s tormentor in chief Ryan Kent.

The Liverpool loanee has been in electric form in recent months and reminded everyone why he is so highly rated at both Anfield and Ibrox with a stunning individual performance in midweek.

It was Kent’s mazy run which set up Morelos’s opener and he served up the Colombian’s second on a plate with a perfectly weighted through ball. It was the sort of performance that should encourage the Gers to break the bank to sign him permanently in the summer, at least according to their fans.

Fortunately, Kent admitted to Herald Scotland as recently as December that a long-term stay in Glasgow is not out of the question.
