Championship leaders Wolverhampton Wanderers still want to bring Anderson Talisca to Molineux but the ball is in Besiktas’s court.

Two years after the links first emerged, Anderson Talisca appears to still be on Wolverhampton Wanderers’ wishlist.
As it stands, however, Besiktas hold all the cards. Talisca has spent the last two seasons on loan at the Turkish league champions and it is understood that they have an option to sign him on a permanent basis from parent club Benfica at the end of this campaign.

And while Milliyet had initially stated that Besiktas were not keen to pay the £21 million fee required, it seems that Senol Gunes’ side have suddenly had a brainwave.
According to A Bola, Besiktas have performed a U-turn and are now ready to trigger the clause in Talisca’s contract. But this does not mean the 24-year-old, who has scored 10 times in 24 Super Lig starts this season, will be plying his trade at the Vodafone Arena in 2017/18.

It is understood that Besiktas will sign Talisca for £21 million and then aim to sell him to another club in order to make a quick profit. The attacking midfielder’s stock could rise considerably should he impress for Brazil at the World Cup this summer, so he could be a very smart investment for the Turkish giants.
With the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool linked of late, however, the battle for Talisca would be a real challenge of Wolves’ pulling power and ambition, particularly with Besiktas aiming to make as much money as they can out of the Samba star.
