Premier League runners-up Liverpool probably don’t need a new right-back but Almeida would happily sign if Jurgen Klopp wants him.

Benfica defender Andre Almeida has admitted to Mega Hits that he dreams of playing for Champions League winners Liverpool.
An eight-time Portugal international who won his fifth Primeira Liga title back in May, Almeida spent the summer being linked with countless clubs on British shores.
According to the Sun, Everton, Wolves, Leicester City and Brighton and Hove Albion were all interested in the £10 million-rated right-back but, by the time the transfer window slammed shut in early August, he was still in Lisbon.
And, speaking during the international break, Almeida has admitted that he still hopes of a chance to prove himself in the Premier League with Liverpool the club of his dreams – even if he wouldn’t be a guaranteed starter in Jurgen Klopp’s star-studded XI.
“I always had the dream of going to the Premier League. I really like Liverpool for their history,” said the 28-year-old

“I also like Real Madrid and Barcelona but I prefer the Premier League (even though) I would not have the ability to play all the starting games.”
Almeida is probably right. In Trent Alexander-Arnold, Liverpool have arguably the best young full-back anywhere in world football right now.
Last season, as The Reds finished one point behind Manchester City at the top of the table, Alexander-Arnold broke the record for the most assists in one Premier League season by a full-back.
