Kyle Lafferty and Alfredo Morelos are yet to really hit it off as a strike partnership at Glasgow Rangers.

Rangers showed the damage they can do when on top form against Motherwell. But a 7-1 thrashing of Stephen Robinson’s side does not quite manage to overshadow the problems the Gers have had going forward in recent weeks.
They looked short of ideas in clashes against the likes of Kilmarnock, Aberdeen and Spartak Moscow, casting into doubt their chances of European progression and ending hopes of an appearance in the Scottish League Cup final.
No wonder coach Michael Beale is hoping to establish a partnership between strikers Alfredo Morelos and Kyle Lafferty.
Morelos has scored 14 goals in all competitions this season, but the firebrand Colombian is yet to really form a connection with Lafferty, who returned to Ibrox from Hearts after a protracted transfer saga.
Beale has indicated to the Daily Record that the Rangers staff are desperate to get Morelos and Lafferty working in tandem.

“Like all the staff I’m trying to build a relationship on the pitch with Kyle and Alfredo which I think could be very fruitful for the club,” said the former Liverpool youth coach. “I think they have a good relationship off the pitch.”
Lafferty has not scored for Rangers since September, and has managed just four goals since his return. He has also been forced to play in a wider role on occasions when included in the starting XI alongside Morelos.
But just imagine how dangerous Rangers could be if the two strikers start to understand and complement each other’s game.
