Tottenham Hotspur are considering a bid to bring Real Betis starlet Fabian Ruiz to the Premier League but La Liga giants Barcelona are also keen admirers.

While Dani Ceballos is warming the bench at Real Madrid, arguably an even more talented young midfielder has emerged through the esteemed Real Betis youth system.
Like Ceballos, Fabian Ruiz looks destined for bigger and better things and plodding around the middle of the La Liga table. And, unlike Ceballas, who got his move to the Bernabau more on the back of his performances at the Under-21 European Championship than in La Liga, Fabian Ruiz is starting to dominate domestic matches on a weekly basis.

He was sensational as Betis stunned city rivals Sevilla 5-3 in a sensational Andalucian derby a fortnight ago, opening the scoring in the blinking of an eye with a sublime curling effort.
The 21-year-old has been one of the breakthrough stars of the Liga campaign. And with just 20 league starts to his name, it already seems like Betis will face an almighty task holding onto their prized asset with Marca reporting that Tottenham Hotspur are interested in triggering his more than affordable buyout clause of £14 million.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is perhaps the best in England when it comes to helping young players realise their potential and Fabian Ruiz could develop into one of Europe’s best under his tutelage.
Although Spurs will have to beat off competition from none other than Barcelona, who Sport claim have been tracking Fabian for over a year.
The new Busquets? The Barca fans certainly think so.
