Arsene Wenger will leave Arsenal this summer but will Paulo Fonseca arrive at the Emirates despite being wanted by Premier League rivals Everton?

If Sam Allardyce is to be believed, he will still be Everton manager next season.
And the 63-year-old’s hopes of seeing out his year-and-a-half contract at Goodison Park have surely been boosted by the latest update about the future of Shakhtar Donetsk boss Paulo Fonseca.
The Mirror stated in March that Everton had planned to get rid of Allardyce, who has proved very unpopular with supporters with his dreary style of play undermining decent results. And it was understood that Fonseca, the stylish, attack minded 45-year-old who led Shakhtar to the domestic treble in his first season in Ukraine last year, had been lined up as a replacement.

But according to renowned journalist Guillem Balague, Fonseca has rejected the chance to take over at Goodison Park because there is another Premier League job he has his eye on.
“Everton approached him and he said no to Everton,” Balague said on his official YouTube channel.
“Why? Because he is thinking of Arsenal. He has been told Arsenal are interested in him.”
Now, this is certainly a major development.

The likes of Luis Enrique, Max Allegri and Patrick Vieira have been tipped to replace the departing Arsene Wenger at Arsenal.
But Fonseca, who led Shakhtar to the knockout rounds of this year’s Champions League before being eliminated by Roma, has been pretty much absent from the discussion so far.
