Arsenal are leading the chase to re-sign Besiktas star Ozughan Ozyakup but Premier League rivals Everton should take a close look again.

It seems as if Besiktas are set to lose their star midfielder Ozughan Ozyakup in the next few months.
But will the Turkish international midfielder be joining his former Besiktas team-mate Cenk Tosun at Goodison Park? The possibility cannot be discounted.
According to Turkish paper Fanatic back in November, Everton held talks with Ozyakup’s agent about a potential move to Merseyside. At the time, it is understood that the dynamic enforcer was valued at around £10 million.

But if Everton renew their interest in the summer, Ozyakup will be available for nothing at all.
Besiktas have been trying to tie him down to a new contract but have been unsuccessful so far, meaning the 25-year-old, who played a major role as the Istanbul giants won each of the last two Super Lig titles, could leave on a free.
And although Everton are not short of central midfielders, the prospect of signing a player with Ozyakup’s skill, vision and dynamism for absolutely nothing does not come around too often. After all, it is not long since former Turkey star Ridvan Dilmen compared Ozyakup to one Zinedine Zidane, as reported by the Sun.

According to Milliyet, Arsenal have made the first move as they attempt to bring the one time Gunners youngster back to North London. Ozyakup played just twice for Arsenal before leaving in 2012 but it is understood that Arsene Wenger’s side have offered a contract to convince him to return.
Yet amid all the money spent at Everton since Farhad Moshiri took over, the free signing of Ozyakup could be his best signing yet.
