Everton, Arsenal and Manchester United sent scouts to watch Aston Villa on Tuesday as teenage striker Keinan Davis shone again.

It is no coincidence that Aston Villa’s excellent run of form has coincided with manager Steve Bruce making teen sensation Keinan Davis (above, left) a firm part of his first-team plans.
The 19-year-old made his first league start for Villa in last month’s 4-2 thrashing of Norwich City, the pre-season promotion favourites maiden victory of the 2017/18 campaign, and has been a regular in attack ever since.
Davis has started each of Villa’s last seven Championship games and has capped a promising string of performances by scoring in fantastic away wins at Barnsley and Burton Albion. Therefore, reports in The Mirror that the England Under-20 international is starting to be noticed by clubs higher up the footballing pyramid should come as no surprise.
Man in demand
The report claims that Manchester United, Arsenal and Everton all scouted the 6ft 2ins powerhouse as he bullied Burton’s defensive into submission on Tuesday night, scoring a bullet header early on to set Villa on their way to a 4-0 cruise.

And reports that Everton are watching a player Bruce picked ahead of £12 million Republic of Ireland international Scott Hogan (BBC) at The Pirelli, once again indicate the Toffees desire to recruit some of the country’s most exciting young talent.
Director of football and esteemed talentspotter Steve Walsh was appointed last summer with the remit of ensuring a bright future at Goodison Park and talented young prospects like Ademola Lookman, Josh Bowler and Lewis Gibson have all arrived on Merseyside since.

Yet, Davis would perhaps be the posterboy for Everton’s recruitment drive. Unlike Bowler and Gibson, who arrived from QPR and Newcastle respectively without a senior start to their name, Davis has proven himself at a good level and has already taken to senior football like a duck to water.
Steve Bruce reckons Davis can aim for the very top. But will it be at Everton where he fulfils his potential?
