Jacob Ramsey has been tipped for very big things under Dean Smith at Championship powerhouses Aston Villa.

Aston Villa’s academy manager Sean Kimberley has raved about Jacob Ramsey as excitement builds over the attacking midfielder, as reported by the Birmingham Mail.
The teenager has been part of Villa’s academy since he was just six years old and his performances for the U18 and U23 sides this season have turned plenty of heads. Ramsey has impressed with his speed and direct approach, while also scoring successive braces in the FA Youth Cup.
According to the Birmingham Mail, the Midland giants have now tied the 17-year-old down to a long-term professional contract, showing how highly they rate him.
And Kimberley clearly believes that Ramsey has everything to takes to reach the top level.
“If he continues to match his undoubted technical ability and eye for a goal with the desire and energy to reach the next level, he will have a bright future in the game,” Kimberley said of the Great Barr-born attacker.

Aston Villa fans were thrilled to learn that Ramsey had committed his future to the club back in January, lauding his development on Twitter and tipping him to force his way into the first-team in the near future.
Now Dean Smith is at the helm, Villa have a manager famous for honing and improving young talent such as Ollie Watkins, Neal Maupay and Rico Henry at his former club Brentford.
