Leeds United reportedly held talks with Championship rivals Aston Villa about a potential deal to bring winger Albert Adomah to Elland Road

Aston Villa could be about to make themselves one of the Championship’s most exciting attacking teams.
According to the Birmingham Mail, Villa are in pole position to sign the £28 million winger Yannick Bolasie on loan from Everton with a deal on the cards in the next 24 hours.
And L’Equipe believe that another skilful wide-man could be on his way to Villa Park – Anwar El-Ghazi. Lille’s Dutch international held talks with the Midland giants on Tuesday and a season-long loan move appears to be edging closer.
On the face of it, this could be worrying for Leeds United. If Aston Villa get both Bolasie and El-Ghazi on board, they will surely emerge as one of Marcelo Bielsa’s main challengers for a place in the top six.
But perhaps Leeds should see this as an opportunity. As reported by the Birmingham Mail, Leeds held talks with Aston Villa over the potential signing of Albert Adomah earlier in August.

And the 30-year-old is set to be pushed down the pecking order by both Bolasie and El-Ghazi, perhaps giving Leeds their best chance yet to bring Adomah to Elland Road on a temporary basis.
The former Middlesbrough speedster enjoyed his most prolific ever season in 2017/18, scoring 14 Championship goals. Adomah could provide a much-needed goal threat from the flanks and give Bielsa the opportunity to rotate a relatively small squad.
