Valued at £10m last summer, Premier League West Ham United and Championship outfit Aston Villa have both been linked with Harold Moukoudi.
Harold Moukoudi is already shaping up to be one of the best potential bargains of the summer transfer window, so Aston Villa and West Ham United should not forget about France’s latest defensive starlet.
Made In Foot reported in the January transfer window that the Villans and the Hammers were among a wide range of clubs keen to sign the highly-rated Le Havre centre-back, alongside Borussia Dortmund, Sevilla, Wolfsburg and Napoli.
A 21-year-old who has represented the French national team at U20 level, Moukoudi has been tipped to follow in the footsteps of Raphael Varane (below), Aymeric Laporte and co and become one of Europe’s top defenders in the coming years.
So the fact that he stayed at Le Havre in January, and will be a free agent when his contract expires at the end of the season, should have Aston Villa and West Ham on red alert.
The Mail reported last summer that the Ligue 2 outfit were demanding around £10 million for Moukoudi and, if he was not out of contract, he would surely be worth a lot more than that now after another fine season in France’s second tier.
