Scottish Premiership giants Celtic are hoping to keep Odsonne Edouard at Parkhead when his loan from Ligue 1 champions PSG expires.

Why should Celtic fans care that the sporting director of Paris Saint-Germain is under scrutiny, or that Arsene Wenger could be heading to the French capital?
In short, because their futures at the Parc des Princes could be tied directly to Celtic’s hopes of signing Odsonne Edouard this summer.
The Hoops signed the 20-year-old striker on a season-long loan deal last summer and it is understood that they have the option to sign him permanently for £7 million – an option that manager Brendan Rodgers hinted that they would take up, as reported by the Daily Record.

But the Scottish Sun claim that this is under threat. It is understood that PSG could cancel the arrangement after setting up a partnership with Portuguese side Vitoria Guimaraes which would see some of the Ligue 1 champions most exciting youngsters move to the Primeira Liga.
The report added that PSG’s sporting director Antero Henrique had promised Edouard to Vitoria Guimaraes next season.

That, then, could kill Celtic’s hopes stone dead.
But ESPN has added another twist to the tale. It is understood that the long-term future of Henrique, who is the man driving Edouard’s move to Portugal, is under question with supporters unhappy about his debut season at the club.
And the soon-to-be departing Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has also been lined up for a potential role as PSG’s general manger – which would render Henrique obsolete and maybe even kill off the chances of Edouard going to Vitoria.
Suddenly, Celtic could find themselves taking a keen interest in PSG’s internal politics this summer.
