Premier League giants Arsenal will reportedly discard Carl Jenkinson, who was linked with Championship outfit West Bromwich Albion in January.

Carl Jenkinson’s ill-fated Arsenal career could be coming to an end this summer with Unai Emery hoping to force out the seldom-seen defender, according to the Sun.
A £1 million signing from Charlton Athletic all the way back in 2011, the one-time England international has made just 41 Premier League appearances for the Gunners in almost a decade in North London.
And, at the age of 27, it seems that Jenkinson has well and truly missed the boat with Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Stephan Lichtsteiner and Hector Bellerin all being preferred by Emery this season.
According to the Sun, the former West Ham and Birmingham loanee could see his disappointing Arsenal career come to an end in the very near future with Emery hoping to find a buyer for a player who’s featured in just eight games since the Spaniard replaced Arsene Wenger.
Emery’s decision might not go down too well with Arsenal legend and former right-back Lee Dixon, however. Dixon told Football London last month that Jenkinson deserved a run in the team, believing that he still has a lot to offer.

This could open the door for West Brom, who wanted to sign Jenkinson in January, according to the Mirror.
The Baggies will need a new right-back when loanee Mason Holgate returns to Everton.
