West Ham United and Southampton reportedly want to bring 10-goal Ajax striker Kasper Dolberg to the Premier League from the Eredivisie.

Unlike the soundbite spitting Niklas Bendtner, the last young Danish striker tipped for the very top, Kasper Dolberg appears to have the talent to back up the hype.
The 21-year-old may be one of the most talented strikers anywhere in Europe right now, having overcome the injury problems that dogged his 2017/18 season to establish himself as one of Ajax’s star men again.
Dolberg has scored ten goals in 17 Eredivisie games this season, with his velvet touch and rangy stride once again earning comparisons with the one-time Ajax striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
No wonder West Ham United and Southampton are interested, as reported by Calciomercato.
But, rather than Ibrahimovic, Dolberg’s father believes the softly-spoken striker shares more similarities with another striking legend – the so-called ‘Flying Dutchman’ Marco Van Basten.

“I see many similarities with Marco van Basten,” Flemming Rasmussen told the Guardian in 2017.
“If he goes like him that’s very good of course. They are the same size, same speed and both have a good shot.”
If West Ham or Southampton are willing to meet Ajax’s price-tag, they will sign a striker with the class and technical ability that really stands him out, even in a league where exciting young attackers are ten a penny.
Dolberg was Ajax’s main man as they reached the Europa League final in 2017 against all expectations and it seems that his golden touch has returned.
