Tottenham Hotspur’s Champions League clash away at PSV Eindhoven on Wednesday should be intriguing for a number of reasons.

Firstly, there is a huge amount of pressure on Mauricio Pochettino’s side to win the game after losing against Inter Milan and Barcelona in matchday’s one and two.

And the fact that Spurs have been linked with a number of PSV’s star players in the last month or so only adds an interesting backstory to proceedings.

According to TEAMtalk, Tottenham are planning to raid the Eredivisie champions in January for young Dutch starlets Stephen Bergwijn and Jorrit Hendrix, who are understood to be valued at a combined £100 million.

Bergwijn is an electric winger who has scored and assisted 10 goals in 14 games this season while Hendrix is a classy, intelligent and hugely underrated central midfielder.

The Mirror reported just a few days later that another PSV ace, Hirving Lozano, is on Pochettino’s radar with a bargain £25 million price-tag mentioned. The Mexican World Cup star, who is not too dissimilar to a young Cristiano Ronaldo, fired PSV to the title last season with 19 goals in a dream debut season.

So the Spurs fans who are travelling to the Phillips Stadium could be about to get a sneak peek at the next player who encourages Daniel Levy to get his chequebook out.
