Chelsea will loan out Charly Musonda and the likes of Newcastle United, West Bromwich Albion and Celtic are interested, as are Nottingham Forest.

News that Chelsea will let Charly Musonda leave on loan for the rest of the season has sparked plenty of interest from clubs all across Britain.
There appears to be no immediate place in the Blues’ squad for their fleet-footed Belgian after the £15 million signing of Ross Barkley, with The Telegraph stating that Newcastle United, West Brom, Bournemouth and Watford are all interested.

The likes of Newcastle and West Brom, who are both strapped for cash for differing reasons this month, would welcome Musonda with open arms. The 21-year-old has that skill, pace and unpredictability that the Premier League strugglers are crying out for in the final third.
However while Newcastle and West Brom seem like realistic destinations, the same probably cannot be said of Nottingham Forest.
The Telegraph added that Forest have made an ambitious attempt to sign the one-time Real Betis loanee on a short-term deal and those at the City Ground know better than most just how talented Musonda is. He scored his first ever Chelsea goal in September’s 5-1 EFL Cup thrashing after all.

But any hopes of landing the Belgian this month look fanciful at best. Because Goal states that Chelsea would rather Musonda moved instead to another Premier League club in order to get some experience in English football’s top flight.
So while Forest should be commended for throwing their hat into the ring, it appears they may be wasting their time.
