Stuart Findlay left Scottish Premiership giants Celtic in hope of more first-team chances at Premier League giant Newcastle United

It seems as if Stuart Findlay will be the latest in a long line of young talents who will leave Newcastle United without ever getting a real chance to prove themselves in the first team.
Big things were expected of the former Celtic defender when he made his Magpies’ bow in the FA Cup clash with Birmingham City in January 2017. And Findlay has enhanced his growing reputation with an excellent loan spell at Kilmarnock back up in Scotland.

“They (Newcastle) have told me I will leave,” said Findlay, who scored his first senior goal to seal a 1-0 win against Partick Thistle on Saturday and keep Killie in the race for European football next season.
And time will tell whether Newcastle are making a big mistake. Centre-back has been one of the strongest areas of Rafa Benitez’s squad this season with a solid backline set to keep The Magpies in the Premier League for another season.
Florian Lejuene is starting to look a big hit after his £9 million move from Eibar and it seems unlikely that captain Jamaal Lascelles will leave amid interest from Tottenham, as reported by The Telegraph, having only recently inked a long-term contract until 2023.

But Findlay is a defender with huge promise and talent who has been one of the best in his positon in Scotland over the last few months.
If he continues to develop at this rate, Newcastle letting him go on a free could look quite costly.
