Hadi Sacko has started one Championship game for Leeds United this season and The Whites want Birmingham City’s Blackpool loanee Solomon-Otabor.
On reflection, did Hadi Sacko really deserve a permanent contract at Leeds United?
The rapid winger arrived on loan from Sporting Lisbon ahead of the 2016/17 season and really divided supporters in his debut campaign at Elland Road. While his remarkable pace brought a real threat to Leeds’ attack, his lack of end product continuously left fans with their heads in their hands.
A tally of two goals and three assist in 38 Championship games spoke volumes.
So it was a bit of a surprise when Leeds decided to make Sacko’s loan move permanent for around £2 million last summer, according to France Football.
But, since then, he has failed to impress either Thomas Christiansen or Paul Heckingbottom. Just one of the Frenchman’s 14 Championship appearances have come from the start and he has not contributed to a single goal all season.

So Sacko should be worried, then, about reports in All Nigeria Soccer claiming that Leeds are rivalling West Ham United and Derby County to sign Viv Solomon-Otabor this summer.
The London-born Nigerian has spent the season on loan at Blackpool from Birmingham City and has five goals and five assists in League One. If Sacko is struggling for game time now, his hopes of a more regular role in the first-team would not be helped by the potential arrival of 22-year-old Solomon-Otabor.
With Leeds looking at wingers, it would be a surprise if Sacko is at Leeds for a third season.
