Everton signed Richarlison from Premier League rivals Watford last summer; the Brazilian having made his name in the South American U20 Championships.

Richarlison might have got his big break when he joined Watford from Fluminense in 2017 but he made his name a few months before that.
The little-known forward shot to fame for Brazil at the South American U20 Championships two years ago, scoring twice ahead of a big-money move to Vicarage Road.
These days, Richarlison is one of the Premier League’s most exciting attacking talents, having scored nine times in 19 starts since making a club-record £50 million switch to Everton.
But could the Toffees be on the lookout for the new Richarlison this month? According to the Liverpool Echo, Everton are set to send scouts to the 2019 edition of the South American U20 Championships, with Marcel Brands sending Jamie Hoyland to take in the ten-team tournament.

Brands developed a reputation in Holland as a man capable of spotting diamonds in the rough, signing the likes of Dries Mertens, Hirving Lozano and Gini Wijnaldum well before they became household names.
And the former PSV and AZ Alkmaar director will be hoping to spot a real future star with the likes of Brazil, Colombia, Uruguay and Argentina set to go head-to-head in Chile.
The tournament begins in January 17 and will run until February 10.
