Celtic are one of a number of clubs reportedly hoping to snatch Reo Griffiths away from Tottenham Hotspur.

Celtic have a history when it comes to landing promising Premier League talents. But a permanent deal for Reo Griffiths would be the best of the lot.
Football London reported back in May that Celtic were one of the clubs linked with Tottenham Hotspur’s 18-year-old attacker amid suggestions that he would follow Keanan Bennetts out of North London this summer.
Griffiths scored a remarkable 32 goals in 27 games for Spurs’ U18 side last season, but he has not yet been tied down to a professional contract and could therefore be snapped up for next to nothing.
Radio Scoop broke the news on Friday that Lyon were in advanced talks to bring him to France, while the Sun states that Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid have also joined the race.
So what chance do Celtic really have, with some of Europe’s biggest and most successful clubs seemingly waving contracts in the teenager’s face?

Brendan Rodgers’ side are obviously in last-chance saloon, with Griffiths’ fate set to be decided in the near future.
Rodgers’ reputation as a manager who gives a platform to young players could give Celtic a potential trump card in the chase for a player yet to make his senior debut.
But the temptation of signing for a bona fide giant like Real Madrid or PSG means the chances of Celtic winning the race look a lot slimmer than they did in May.
