Will Swansea City give Micky Mellon his chance in the Championship after Graham Potter left to take over at Brighton in the Premier League.

Former Swansea City hero Andy Robinson believes Micky Mellon is the perfect choice to take over at the Liberty Stadium, while speaking to the BBC.
The Swans are on the lookout for a coach to replace Graham Potter in South Wales. Potter impressed during his debut season in charge of the club but walked away to try his hand in the Premier League, taking over at Brighton and Hove Albion earlier this month.
And it remains to be seen who will succeed the former Ostersunds coach though Wales Online believe there have been talks with the recently departed Nurnburg manager Michael Kollner. Swansea’s U23 coach Cameron Toshack is also reported to be under consideration.
Robinson, however, has thrown another name into the ring – current Tranmere Rovers boss Micky Mellon.
“He gets the best out of what he has to work with,” Robinson (below) told the BBC after Mellon sealed a fifth promotion of his managerial career on Saturday, guiding Tranmere into League One just 12 months after they returned to the Football League.

“If it was to be Swansea City, the identity of the club, the Swansea way – the way we play – he wouldn’t come away from that because that’s his philosophy anyway.
“But he’s adaptable as well, he’s a good guy in football and he knows what it takes to win a football game.”
It remains to be seen whether Mellon would be willing to walk away from Tranmere after successive promotions but the lure of a club like Swansea could be difficult to turn down for a coach who is yet to prove himself at Championship level.
