Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers have a lot of central midfielders, and possibly one more ‘imminently’.

According to The Glasgow Evening Times, Steven Gerrard is on the brink of signing Liverpool midfielder Ovie Ejaria on loan.
Gerrard has already wrapped up deals for Scott Arfield, Allan McGregor and Jamie Murphy, and the “imminent” addition of Ejaria would further strengthen Rangers.
Ejaria, according to Transfermarkt, is primarily a central midfielder and you wonder if the likes of Andy Halliday and Jason Holt are going to be axed by Gerrard.
Before Ejaria joins, Gerrard already has Arfield, Graham Dorrans, Ryan Jack, Jordan Rossiter and Greg Docherty for central midfield options.

Competition for places will be fierce and, well, Halliday and Holt are unlikely to stake much of a claim to play regularly.
The competition is so fierce, in fact, that those two may struggle to even make the bench on a regular basis, so offloading them this summer makes sense.
Holt and Halliday are both contracted to Ibrox until 2020, meaning that the Gers can sell the experienced duo to fund further signings.
