Jan Age Fjortoft asked Toni Kroos to do an interview with the Manchester United TV channel yesterday.
Since the turn of the year Manchester United have been heavily linked with a summer move for Bayern Munich midfielder Toni Kroos – starting when David Moyes was spotted taking in a Bayern match in January – sitting alongside the German international’s agent.
But regardless of that it seems as though Kroos plans on a Bayern stay.
Last week, in quotes published by Sport 1, his agent Volker Struth said:
“There is no official contract offer presented. Lastly, there is no need to submit an official offer; because Toni Kroos will play at Bayern at least until 2015.”
Meanwhile yesterday Kroos said he gave high value to the advice of his former Bayern coach Jupp Heynckes – who had told him to stay at the Allianz Arena.
But the rumours are still flying around – and one popular German journalist made a quip to Toni about the rumours yesterday.
Jan Age Fjortoft is the Norwegian journalist who broke the Mesut Ozil transfer news. A good Twitter friend of Manchester United pair Phil and Gary Neville he posted this Tweet last night – shortly after interviewing the German international…
No interview was done with MUTV – as you can probably imagine.
