West Bromwich Albion need a striker to get them out of the Championship, so who better than Derby County’s Matej Vydra?

West Bromwich Albion fans could be forgiven for forgetting all about Matej Vydra.
The Czech striker spent the entire 2013/14 season at The Hawthorns but did not exactly make a lasting impression. In 25 games, Vydra scored just three goals during a loan spell from Udinese and, unsurprisingly, he did not earn himself a permanent contract.
Nonetheless, four years on, it seems the West Brom fans would welcome their former flop back with open arms.

The versatile attacker, who finished the season as the Championship’s Golden Boot winner with 21 goals, is expected to cost around £8 million; not much more than the fee Derby paid for him in 2016.
And while Vydra struggled for West Brom in the Premier League, the Hawthorns faithful believe he would be an inspired signing as the Baggies’ prepare for life in the Championship.
Vydra has an impressive record in the division, after all, hitting the 20-goal barrier twice and winning the league’s Player of the Year award in 2013 after a stellar spell at Watford.
