West Ham United sacked Slaven Bilic in November 2017 and now they’re bottom of the Premier League table.

Slaven Bilic is 50 years old today. And many West Ham United fans are commemorating the occasion by expressing a desire for the Croatian to return to his former stomping ground.
It is 10 months now since Bilic was sacked as West Ham manager. The Hammers had endured a dismal start to the season and were stuck in the relegation zone after a humiliating 4-1 thrashing against Liverpool.
Almost a year on, however, and not much has changed. In fact, it’s got worse.
Now under the much-vaunted former Real Madrid and Manchester City coach Manuel Pellegrini, West Ham went into the international break bottom of the Premier League, having lost all four of their games under the Chilean so far.

And while Bilic was forced to work with cast offs, ill-fitting loanees and free transfers, Pellegrini had the added advantage of being given over £100 million to spend in the transfer market.
The former Croatia boss was never the most tactically astute of managers but he brought some rip-roaring attacking football to West Ham and plenty of personality off the pitch too. Bilic’s West Ham finished seventh in 2015/16, just four points behind Pellegrini’s Manchester City.
