Alfredo Morelos has scored 23 goals for Scottish Premiership powerhouses Rangers but is Steven Gerrard set to lose his star man?

Alfredo Morelos has cast doubt on his long-term future at Rangers, telling W Radio that he expects to leave Ibrox this summer.
The Colombian striker has been a revelation since he moved to Scotland in the summer of 2017, the Gers paying a bargain £1 million to sign the little-known striker from HJK Helsinki.
There were doubts about whether Morelos could replicate his prolific form in Finnish football in the unforgiving Scottish top flight. But he has silenced the doubters in style, scoring 23 goals in all competitions during his second season at Ibrox.
Speaking to W Radio, the 22-year-old has claimed that he has been scouted by a number of clubs in recent months and his time in Glasgow could be coming to an end.
“There are many teams interested in me and a lot of them have watched me play. Most likely my transfer will be this summer,” said Morelos, who also confirmed that he is dreaming of playing for Colombia in the Copa America this summer.

“With the amount of goals I have scored, I know it has been noticed by European clubs. I have always said I would like to play in the English Premier League.”
Rangers would expect to make a huge profit on Morelos if he does indeed bid farewell this summer.
The Daily Record reported in January that Nice were prepared to offer £8 million but manager Steven Gerrard said that such a bid would be ‘disrespectful’, adding that the striker could be worth twice that fee in today’s market.
