Marcelo Bielsa’s Championship hopefuls Leeds United reportedly want to sign Ecuador starlet Alexander Alvarado.

UD Aucas winger Alexander Alvarado has admitted to Infocancha that he is aware of the reported interest from Leeds United.
Earlier this month, Leeds scout Gaby Ruiz was not shy about revealing which players had caught his eye during the recent U20 World Cup, providing a list of 15 to the FIFA website. Ecuador starlet Alvarez, who had apparently formed part of a ‘superb’ midfield for the South American nation, was among them.
El Telegrafo then went on to claim that Leeds had asked about potentially bringing the 20-year-old to Elland Road this summer as speculation rises in his homeland.
While Alvarado refused to comment on whether he would or would not relish the prospect of joining one of the institutions of English football, the youngster made it clear that he is very much aware of the goings on.
“It’s something that I saw on social media (stating Leeds’ interest),” he said.

“I have not talked to anyone. With my agent we talked, but not about that issue.”
Alvarado did admit that he has plenty of admiration for the British game and, make no mistake, his energetic style would fit right into the hustle and bustle of the Championship. Furthermore, his ability to play on either flank should appeal to the famously demanding Bielsa.
This is one to keep an eye on.
