Wolverhampton Wanderers are battling Championship rivals including Derby County, Sheffield Wednesday and Sheffield United for League Two star Jevani Brown.

Jevani Brown’s fine form at Cambridge United this season has not gone unnoticed.
According to The Mirror (live transfer blog, 4.00pm), Wolves, Sheffield Wednesday and Derby County are among the Championship teams eyeing the 23-year-old forward, who has managed four goals and four assists in League Two in 2017/18.
Middlesbrough, Barnsley and Sheffield United are also hot on the former Peterborough United youngster’s trail.
But while Wolves fans may be a little underwhelmed by reports linking them with a fourth-tier starlet, with the club bringing in Portuguese internationals and Champions League stars during the last transfer window, Brown would be another exciting signing for a side building for the future as well as the present.

After all, if Wolves do manage to beat off competition from a number of Championship rivals for the Cambridge ace, he will arrive at Molineux shortly after Spanish scoring sensation Rafa Mir.
The former Valencia wonderkid was nabbed from under the noses of none other than Real Madrid for £1.8 million, as reported by The Daily Mail. Add to this to signing of another fresh-faced striking talent in Benny Ashley-Seal, who joined from Norwich City’s academy in October, and the future looks bright for the club clad in gold.

Brown would have a tough challenge forcing his way into Wolves’ starting XI with the likes of Leo Bonatini, Diego Jota, Ivan Cavaleiro and Helder Costa fighting it out for a place in Nuno’s side, but he would be joining a team with real potential. One that appears to have young players at its core.
Although if Brown wants immediate first-team football to aid his development, perhaps signing for a Sheffield Wednesday side whose strikers have underwhelmed this season, apart from the excellent Gary Hooper, is the right way to go.
