Newcastle United will reportedly attempt to bring Gattuso to the Premier League if they lose Rafa Benitez with Jurgen Klinsmann another option.

With doubts surrounding the future of current manager Rafa Benitez, who is out of contract at the end of the season, Gattuso has emerged as a potential replacement for the Spaniard at St James’ Park.
Gazzetta dello Sport claimed on Tuesday that the former Italian international, who won the World Cup in 2006, had held talks with super-agent Jorge Mendes with the report adding that he could be offered the Newcastle job if Milan decide to let him go.
But, speaking ahead of Wednesday’s Coppa Italia second leg tie against Lazio (23 April), Gattuso has made it clear that he is not packing his bags and heading to Tyneside just yet.
“With Mendes we often see each other, I like good food and talking about football,” he said. “Newcastle? Unfounded rumours.”
Gattuso was named Milan’s head coach in 2017 after a spell with the reserves and has guided them into the Serie A top four as the Rossoneri look to seal a return to the Champions League for the first time since 2013/14.
France Football has also claimed that former Germany, Bayern Munich and USA boss Jurgen Klinsmann is another option if Benitez walks away.
