Laurens de Bock is reportedly heading to League One Sunderland after just seven Championship games for Leeds United.

Three years ago, Laurens de Bock was playing Champions League football for Club Brugge. Now, after a dreadful spell at Leeds United and a loan at Oostende which very nearly ended in relegation, the left-back is on his way to the third tier of English football.
According to the Sunderland Echo, Sunderland’s long search for a defender capable of replacing Reece James or Bryan Oviedo has come to an end with De Bock undergoing a medical at the Stadium of Light on deadline day.

The 26-year-old, who joined Leeds in a £1.5 million deal in January 2018 according to the Yorkshire Evening Post, is set to sign on a season long loan.
After links with Greg Cunningham, Callum Elder, Greg Taylor, Tom Pearce and many more came to nothing, Sunderland fans must be breathing a sigh of relief with the club finally closing in on a player capable of filling as gaping void in Jack Ross’s starting XI.
But maybe this is too good to be true.
After all, there’s a reason why De Bock was deemed surplus to requirements at Leeds after just seven Championship games, including a 4-1 battering at Cardiff City and a 4-3 collapse at home to Millwall.
