Left-back Max Lowe joined Aberdeen from Derby County last summer and impressed against Celtic on Saturday.

Aberdeen defender Scott McKenna has paid tribute to Max Lowe after the Derby County loanee produced another impressive performance against Celtic, while speaking to the club’s official website.
The highly-rated left-back spent the first half of the season at Pittordrie and the Dons did not wait around to extend his deal until the end of the season in January when given the opportunity.
Lowe has continued to earn rave reviews north of the border, not just for his speed on the overlap but also for his impressive defending.
The 21-year-old came up against the likes of James Forrest, Scott Sinclair and Mikey Johnstone on Saturday. But none of Celtic’s wingers could get the better of him as the champions were held to a goalless draw at Parkhead.
After the game, McKenna paid tribute to Lowe, who continues to establish himself as one of the Scottish Premiership’s best full-backs.

“Our two full backs were excellent. Max actually dealt with three different wingers during the game,” said the Scotland international.
“That is difficult especially when they came on fresh, but Max was brilliant and didn’t allow them any space at all.”
Lowe came through the academy at Derby and made his debut for the club in August 2016. It remains to be seen whether he will be part of Frank Lampard’s plans going forwards however with The Rams hardly short of left-backs right now.
Ashley Cole, Scott Malone, Craig Forsyth and Marcus Olsson are all under contract at Pride Park.
