Championship duo Nottingham Forest and Queens Park Rangers have reportedly offered £3m for Dons centre-back Scott McKenna.

Aberdeen captain Joe Lewis has sung the praises of coveted centre-back Scott McKenna after Championship duo Nottingham Forest and Queens Park Rangers both made bids for the Scotland international, in quotes reported by the Sun.
McKenna has been linked with a move to England for well over a year now and speculation is rife once again with just over a week remaining in the summer transfer window.
The Sun reports that Forest and QPR have both failed with £3 million bids for a player who captained his country in only his fourth appearance for the national team.
In an ideal world, goalkeeper Lewis would love to maintain his partnership with McKenna at Pittodrie but the Aberdeen skipper understands why so many clubs are keen to snap up his 22-year-old teammate.
“I am surprised there haven’t been more clubs linked with Scott as he is such a good player. We’ve been fortunate to have him this long,” Lewis said.
“The club has been strong with their asking price and that is only right. If he played abroad and joined an English team then you would be looking at a huge figure to get him.

“He’s a fantastic player. Any club would be lucky to have him.”
McKenna is already developing a reputation as a defender with very few holes in his game with the Angus-born stopper equally comfortable in the air or with the ball at his feet.
“He’s fast, comfortable on the ball, dominant in the air, tough in the tackle, he reads the game well and there is no weakness in his game for me. He’ll only get better,” Lewis adds.
The report adds that Aberdeen will only entertain offers of £10 million for McKenna, which might put him out of the reach of both Nottingham Forest and QPR.
