Glen Kamara was perhaps fortunate not to be sent off in Sunday’s Scottish Cup quarter-final between Aberdeen and Steven Gerrard’s Rangers.

Aberdeen left-back Max Lowe has admitted that Scott Arfield had to tell Glen Kamara to keep his head during Sunday’s Scottish Cup quarter-final clash against Rangers, speaking to the Daily Record.
The Dons and The Gers drew 1-1 at Pittodrie in another feisty encounter. Alfredo Morelos, who has been sent off three times against Derek McInnes’ side this season alone, managed to stay on the pitch this time with the likes of Arfield taking centre stage instead as the match threatened to boil over.
Glen Kamara was perhaps fortunate to avoid punishment after shoving left-back Lowe, a loss of control that left the Derby County loanee baffled.
The Finland international wasn’t even given a yellow card but that was perhaps because of Arfield’s well-timed intervention.
“We know we don’t want any players sent off in a situation like that and we tried to ignore it and get on with the game,” said Lowe.

“I didn’t understand why Kamara pushed me. Arfield told him to relax after he pushed me. I am not bothered I didn’t do anything. None of our lads reacted to it.”
Joe Worrall cancelled out Sam Cosgrove’s penalty early in the second half on Sunday, meaning Rangers and Aberdeen are set to go head-to-head again in the replay next week.
And you can expect another fiery match between two sides who have emerged as bitter rivals in recent seasons. Rangers will be hoping that Kamara and co are a little more composed next time around.
