Former Leicester City striker Andrej Kramaric could reportedly be handed another Premier League chance by Newcastle United after starring at Hoffenheim.

Newcastle United fans would be best served forgetting about Andrej Kramaric’s troubles at Leicester City with reports in The Chronicle claiming that he has been lined up as a potential big-money summer signing.

And head of recruitment Steven Nickson has been keeping a close eye on Kramaric over recent months, with the Croatian emerging alongside the likes of Bas Dost, Nicolai Jorgensen and Hannover hitman Niclas Fullkrug as potential targets.
Kramaric doesn’t exactly have a stellar reputation in England thanks to that forgettable 12 month spell at Leicester City. The Foxes beat off a whole host of competition to land the coveted goalscorer from Rijeka in January 2015 but, in truth, he was barely given a chance.
He made just six Premier League starts in a year, so it is harsh to criticise the fact he only scored twice.

Since moving to Germany, Kramaric has been far more impressive. It was his influential displays in the second half of the 2017/18 season that guided Hoffenheim into the Champions League group stages for the first time in their history and, apparently, caught the eye of Newcastle.
In the last two Bundesliga seasons, the skilful, versatile and often spectacular Kramaric scored 28 and set up 14 goals. These are the stats Newcastle fans should focus on.
