Premier League newcomers Wolverhampton Wanderers sent Connor Ronan out on loan to League One Walsall in the summer transfer window.

Connor Ronan has only featured twice for Walsall so far, but it seems that he is already making a bigger impact than during a forgettable spell at Portsmouth in the second half of last season.
The Wolverhampton Wanderers youngster joined the League One side on loan until January and has been forced to wait to make his mark. But Ronan made his league debut for Walsall in the impressive 1-1 draw at Barnsley on Saturday, playing the full 90 minutes in the centre of the park.
And the 20-year-old certainly made a positive impression, at least on Walsall captain George Dobson.
“He is a lovely player, a delight to watch and a delight to play with,” Dobson told the Birmingham Mail. “He has fitted in perfectly so long may that continue. The way he takes the ball in tight places, he can keep the ball under pressure which is so valuable for us.
“When the ball keeps turning over it is so hard because you have to do so much running, so when Connor is in the team he gives us that option because he really helps the team.”

The skilful Ronan has made 16 appearances for Wolves’ first-team since making his breakthrough in the 2016/17 season under Paul Lambert.
But his long-term future at Molineux remains uncertain with Wolves boasting the cash reserves to bring in ready-made quality such as Joao Moutinho and Ruben Neves.
That said, Ronan is giving himself the best possible chance of getting noticed.
