Roofe did not make a single appearance for West Bromwich Albion before they sold him, so he has a point to prove as Leeds United travel to The Hawthorns.

Kemar Roofe has been arguably the biggest beneficiary of Marcelo Bielsa’s arrival at Elland Road.
The £3 million man flitted between a variety of roles under Thomas Christiansen and Paul Heckingbottom last season, swapping from centre-forward to the wing and even the number ten role on occasions.
But it is only now that Roofe has finally nailed down a regular position in Leeds’ starting XI. Bielsa is a big fan of the 25-year-old’s pace, movement and willingness to press from the front and, as a result, Roofe has established himself as the Whites’ number one centre-forward ahead of Tyler Roberts and Patrick Bamford.
In front of goal, Roofe is in the form of his life. A winner at Wigan on Sunday took his tally to seven in 10 Championship starts.
But Saturday’s clash could bring out the best in Leeds’ in-form number seven. Because, for the first time, Roofe is set to go head-to-head with the side that let him go in 2015 – West Bromwich Albion.

Leeds travel to The Hawthorns hoping to maintain their place at the top of the table and put an eight-point gap between themselves and the Baggies. And Roofe will be desperate to prove a point to the club that failed to hand him a single first-team appearance before selling him to Oxford United.
West Brom’s defence has looked increasingly shaky in recent weeks, and only five clubs in the Championship have conceded more than their 24 goals. So Roofe should be confident of leaving the Baggies red-faced in what promises to be a very successful homecoming.
