Leeds United reportedly want to bring Karl Darlow to Elland Road from Premier League club Newcastle United.

It is no secret that Leeds United need a new goalkeeper this summer.
21-year-old academy graduate Bailey Peacock-Farrell impressed between the sticks after coming in for the final few weeks of the season. But his place in the starting XI was only a reflection of just how bad Felix Wiedwald and Andy Lonergan had been.

It is understood that the Magpies could sell Darlow for around £2 million, with Martin Dubravka set to sign permanently while Freddie Woodman and Rob Elliot are waiting in the wings. The 27-year-old was arguably the best goalkeeper in the Championship as Newcastle won the league title last year, so there are not many better options on the market than the former Nottingham Forest youngster.
But it seems that the majority of Newcastle fans believe they should be putting a few more million on Darlow’s price-tag.

£2 million is almost pocket change in today’s transfer market and, considering just how impressive Darlow was last time he was playing Championship football, Leeds would be pulling off one of the bargains of the summer at that fee.
But if Newcastle do want to sell Darlow this summer, they obviously cannot afford to price potential suitors out. It is a difficult balancing act.
