Rangers have a habit of raiding their Scottish Premiership rivals and should seriously be impressed with Motherwell centre-back Cedric Kipre.

Alfredo Morelos certainly did not look like a £9 million centre-forward as Rangers were held to a 2-2 draw by Motherwell at Firhill on Saturday.
Although that was not because the Colombian striker added to his growing collection of spurned sitters. Instead, he was kept relatively quiet by a commanding performance from Well centre-back Cedric Kipre, who very nearly missed the game altogether.
Kipre received a controversial red card during the clash with Celtic before the international break but had it overturned in time to welcome Rangers. And Motherwell will have been glad he was back.

Because the 21-year-old Frenchman was outstanding against Graeme Murty’s side, cruising through the first half before putting his body on the line and producing a number of point-saving blocks in the second.
In fact, Kipre has been so impressive of late that, according to the Daily Record, Motherwell want him to sign a third, yes, third contract extension in the nine months since he arrived from Leicester City.
But with Rangers seemingly in need of a centre-back due to doubts around the futures of David Bates, Russell Martin, Fabio Cardoso and Bruno Alves, Kipre’s performance should have caught the eye; particularly as the Glasgow giants have a habit of targeting players who have performed well against them of late, see Greg Docherty, Jason Cummings and Youssouf Mulumbu.
