Premier League duo Everton and Tottenham Hotspur are both targeting a summer deal for in-form Valencia forward Rodrigo, who has 13 La Liga goals.

Marcos Alonso was not the only former Bolton Wanderers loanee included in Julen Lopetegui’s Spain squad for the upcoming international break.
Rodrigo Moreno also retained his place in the chosen 23 with just a few months to go until the World Cup – just rewards for his best ever season at senior level. Valencia are looking a very good bet to return to the Champions League this season thanks in part to Rodrigo’s impressive tally of 13 goals and four assists in 24 La Liga starts for Marcelino Garcia Toral’s side.
And, unsurprisingly, the 27-year-old who had a spell at Bolton in 2010/11 is being eyed up for a return to the Premier League on the back of what is already the best goalscoring campaign of his life.

According to AS, both Everton and Tottenham Hotspur are interested, and considering just how toothless the Toffees have looked in front of goal this season, signing a speedy and versatile forward with the potential to be prolific could vastly improve their forward line.
But with majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri making it clear that he has not been impressed with director of football Steve Walsh, who has spent big money on underperforming players like Ashley Williams and Morgan Schneiderlin, Rodrigo’s price-tag could perhaps prove to be a sticking point.

Super Deporte claimed that Valencia rejected an offer of over £30 million from Manchester City last summer for the former Benfica attacker – and that was after he scored just five goals in 2016/17.
Rodrigo should be on the market for much more now – but will Everton be willing to make another hugely expensive addition with Moshiri paying over the odds for so many of his signings so far.
