Joe Hart spent the 2017/18 Premier League season on loan at West Ham United from Manchester City, but does a second London Stadium spell beckon?

West Ham United fans thought they had seen the last of Joe Hart. But maybe not.
The 31-year-old goalkeeper was allowed to leave the London Stadium once his season-long loan spell had come to an end, with manager David Moyes deciding against signing Hart on a permanent basis.
But Moyes is gone now. And his soon-to-be replacement is a man who coached Hart at the pinnacle of his shot-stopping career – Manuel Pellegrini.

According to the Telegraph, Pellegrini will arrive at West Ham on Monday and is likely to sign a deal to make him the new manager of the London club. This will mark the 64-year-old’s first return to English football since he was ushered out for Pep Guardiola two years ago.
And it is worth pointing out that, in the same summer, Hart’s Manchester City career came to an end. Barring a short dip in form during the 2013/14 season, the 75-capped England international was Pellegrini’s undisputed first choice at the Etihad, producing some of the finest performances of his career during three years under the Chilean, but he was never given a look in under Guardiola.

So, with a new goalkeeper likely to be top of Pellegrini’s wish list at West Ham, the fans believe there is a very good chance that Hart could return for a second spell.
But could Pellegrini help Hart rediscover the form that once made him arguably Europe’s best?
