Sunderland’s Max Power will be available for selection after returning from suspension this weekend.

Sunderland midfielder Max Power picked up a red card in his side’s 1-1 draw with Oxford United earlier this month, but aside from that the Birkenhead-born man has been excellent.
Power will be once again available for selection this weekend as Jack Ross’ side travel to the Ricoh Arena to face Coventry City.
And with fellow summer arrival Dylan McGeouch having performed so poorly as of late, 25-year-old Power has to start the game against the Sky Blues.
McGeouch joined Sunderland this summer from Scottish side Hibernian and the 25-year-old got his chance in Ross’ first-team in the wake of Power’s suspension.
But after three cumbersome displays in the Black Cats starting line-up, McGeouch hasn’t lived up to his performances that he showed in Sunderland’s pre-season campaign.

And it should be the returning Power who replaces the Scot this weekend after impressing since arriving from Wigan Athletic this term, scoring two magnificent goals, whilst looking like a calming influence in midfield.
The Black Cats’ trip to Coventry City this weekend is another important match for Ross’ side in order to keep up with the promotion pack and Power must start, regardless of his rash challenge which got him suspended earlier this month.
