Denver Hume has been excellent since featuring in Sunderland’s first-team this season.

Sunderland continued their unbeaten start to life in League One last weekend, after a 1-1 draw with high-flying Fleetwood Town.
The Black Cats were without key man Bryan Oviedo against Joey Barton’s side, with the full-back on international duty with Costa Rica.
But, in the absence of Oviedo, in stepped youngster Denver Hume at left-back and the 22-year-old might have cemented a place in Jack Ross’s side after his man of the match performance.
Hume played a big part in Sunderland’s equalising goal late in the first half on Saturday, with the defender winning the ball back deep in Fleetwood’s half.
It was the youngster’s composure on the ball that once again caught the eye of a bumper crowd inside the Stadium of Light, as well as his ability to surge forward down the left side.

Hume has previously played at right-back this season and, with the imminent return of Oviedo next week against Burton Albion, the academy graduate could feature in that position.
The youngster has now featured on five occasions in all competitions this term, but this weekend’s display was easily his best, giving manager Jack Ross yet another selection headache ahead of Sunderland’s next game.
