Sunderland summer signing Chris Maguire has been one of the standout players from the opening games.

Sunderland new boy Chris Maguire has been excellent since arriving from Bury this summer, scoring three goals in League One so far this season.
The 29-year-old is the tricky winger the Black Cats faithful have craved on Wearside for a number of years and Maguire has become somewhat of a fan favourite in the early stages of his career at Sunderland.
In an interview with the Sunderland Echo, the former Aberdeen man admitted he is loving every minute of his time with his new club.
When speaking about his time on Wearside so far, Maguire said: “Last season wasn’t a year I enjoyed at football but I seem to have got my head back on track and I’m loving every minute of it. I think it’s showed so far.
“I’m confident in my own ability and if I’ve got good players about me it always brings the best out of me.”

Sunderland manager Jack Ross left the winger out for the first time in their first loss of the season away to Burton Albion last week, but Maguire came from the bench and made his mark, scoring a left-footed rocket from 25 yards.
And his performance at the Pirelli Stadium when coming on as a substitute proved just how important Maguire is to Sunderland and Ross is likely to hand another start to his key man this weekend against Rochdale.
