The Swedish-born forward has one year left on his deal with Sunderland and has reportedly attracted the interest of Swansea City.
Sunderland have reportedly accepted a £2m bid from Swansea for their 19-year-old striker Joel Asoro, after the Swede was rumoured to have attracted interest from a range of clubs this summer.
Asoro enjoyed a good end to Sunderland’s dismal Championship campaign last term, with one of the standout performances coming away at Craven Cottage against Fulham when the youngster made a wonderful solo goal.
And the former Manchester United target looks to have warranted a move back to the Championship with Swansea, with with the Sunderland Echo suggesting the Black Cats have accepted a bid.

Sunderland fans will be hoping Asoro’s imminent departure will not spark a domino effect of youth who are looking to leave the club, with several of the youngsters within the Black Cats’ ranks looking set to be at the centre of Ross’s future plans.
Asoro has made just 27 appearances and has netted three goals since joining the Wearsiders in 2016, but the youngster’s flair and obvious talent on the ball has warranted a bid from the Welsh club which Sunderland could perhaps not turn down ahead of what will be a crucial season in the third tier of English football.
